2021 Star Nurses

The Washington Post Star Nurses program, in partnership with the American Nurses Association, honors outstanding registered nurses across the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region — nominated by patients, peers, and community members for their compassion and impact across specialties and care settings.

In 2020 and 2021, the program shifted from an in-person event to a fully streamed experience. I worked closely with the live events team and an external production partner to develop all on-screen graphics and shape the visual system for the broadcast, led the creation of the opening video, and designed the award packaging sent to finalists — extending the visual system from broadcast into print and ensuring the brand felt consistent across every touchpoint of the program.
